She is already displaying the confidence, intelligence, and loyal temperament we value in the American Akita. Backed by health-tested lineage, Navi is continuing to mature both physically and mentally before eventually joining our breeding program. We are excited to watch her develop and look forward to the positive impact we believe she will have on future generations of our kennel.

Briwder Kennels is truly a family program.
I started breeding because I developed a genuine appreciation for the American Akita—not just for their appearance, but for their loyalty, presence, temperament, and the unique bond they can develop with their families. Over time, that appreciation grew into a desire to build a breeding program of my own and to give other families the opportunity to experience what makes this breed so special.
Outside of Briwder Kennels, I work professionally in Environmental Health and Safety management and also serve as a pastor. Both roles have shaped how I lead, communicate, serve people, and approach responsibility. Planning, continuous improvement, accountability, and caring for people are all things that naturally carry over into the way I approach our kennel and the families we work with.

Home & kennel
Our dogs live with our family
Our dogs are indoor dogs. They live in the house with us and are part of our family day to day.
We also have a dedicated kennel setup on our property that gives them year-round access to secure outdoor areas. We use it for exercise, structured time, separation when needed, and to give the dogs space to relax and enjoy being outside safely.
Briwder Kennels is located in Cordova, Tennessee, just outside of Memphis. We welcome families from across the U.S. and offer nationwide shipping for those outside our area.

BK Bear Cubs
We are excited to welcome our September litter from Link and Zelda . This pairing brings together two wonderful American Akitas with health-tested, AKC Championship lineage, excellent temperaments, and strong breed type. We expect these puppies to become loyal, confident, and devoted family companions. If all goes as planned, puppies will be ready to join their new homes in mid-November . We are currently accepting applications for our waiting list.
BK Trailblazers
This will be the first pairing for Link and Navi. We expect dark color coats, great personalities and large puppies.
Health & Raising
The first eight weeks
From birth until 8 weeks, puppies receive careful nurturing to encourage strong development.
Our puppies are raised with our family and receive daily hands-on interaction from birth. We incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI), along with age-appropriate exposure to household sounds, different surfaces, handling, play, and new experiences.
